Argentine craftsmanship meets elevated design in this distinctive Tandil knife, featuring a naturally contoured deer-horn handle, collared and capped with handcrafted silver-nickel. Each handle is entirely unique, shaped by nature to provide a comfortable, ergonomic grip with one-of-a-kind character.

Paired with a luxury sheath hand-chiseled from silver-nickel alloy and finished with .999 silver plating, this piece reflects generations of artisanal technique—transforming a functional tool into a statement of heritage and refinement.

*Use silver-polish cream to clean the silver metal elements.

Part of our Tandil collection of luxury handmade knives. The handle is shaped from naturally contoured deer horn, collared and capped in handcrafted silver-nickel—every piece different in colour, grain and curve, so no two are alike.

The sheath is hand-chiseled from alpaca alloy and finished in .999 silver plating, fitted with a belt hook for carrying. One size: 10 inches overall, with a 5.5-inch stainless blade—balanced for precision cutting and built to be used, at the asado, at the table, in the field.

Handcrafted in Tandil, Argentina, by makers working the way their grandfathers did. A functional tool made to be worn, used, and passed on.

  • Wash the stainless-steel blade carefully with mild detergent and water, avoiding wetting the handle.
  • Wipe the deer horn handle with a dry cloth only. Never soak it.
  • For the silver sheath and metal elements, wipe with a damp cloth and towel dry immediately, then apply silver-polish cream gently with a dry cloth.
  • Store dry. Deer horn is a natural material and may crack if left wet or exposed to prolonged heat or direct sun.

CAUTION: Knife is extremely sharp. Use with caution. Keep away from children.

NATURALLY DISTINCT

The handle on your knife came from a single piece of deer horn. Its colour, its grain, the way it curves into your hand — none of that was designed. It grew.We shape it, collar it in silver, and stop there. Two knives leave the workshop on the same day and they don't match. Yours won't match the one photographed here either. That's the point.

CUT BY HAND, NOT STAMPED

HEIRLOOM CRAFTSMANSHIP

The pattern on the sheath isn't pressed in by a machine. A silversmith cuts it, stroke by stroke, with a chisel and a hammer — the same way it was done here a century ago. Then it's plated in .999 silver. Sterling is 92.5% pure. This is 99.9%. It's slower, it costs more, and it's why the piece in your hand doesn't match anyone else's.

HEIRLOOM CRAFTSMANSHIP

A knife this finished tends to end up in a drawer. That's the worst thing you can do with it. Deer horn takes the natural oils from your hands. It darkens a little where you hold it, and after a few years the grip is worn to you and to nobody else. The blade sharpens back. The silver polishes back. The ones worth passing down are the ones that got used.
